In the year 1996, IMS Unison University (IUU) was established as an Institute of Management Studies (IMS) and later on it received the status of ‘Private University’ in 2013. The University is located at Dehradun, Uttarakhand and was established under the management of Unison Education and Research Foundation. Moreover, it is approved by UGC & recognised by BCI, Government of Uttarakhand, and Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

IMS Dehradun is popular for offering quality education mainly in Management, Law, Media, and hospitality discipline. Moreover, it is known for its dedicated placement support and state-of-the-art campus.

IMS Unison University offers more than 20 courses at Bachelors, Masters, Diploma, Certificate, and Doctorate level & the fee structure is economical. Integrated courses are also available at the University under few disciplines. In addition, there are nearly 5 Schools at the University which includes School of Management and Liberal Arts (SoML), School of Computer Applications, School of Hospitality Management (SoHM), School of Law (SoL), and School of Media, Communication & Design (SOMCD).

*Students should know that fees like admission, tuition, document, examination, security deposit (refundable), etc. are added in the above-mentioned total amount. Moreover, the tuition fees differ for Uttarakhand domicile students.

*5% relaxation in the marks is provided to the SC / ST / OBC category students of Uttarakhand State who are seeking admission in the aforementioned courses.

Admission Process

According to the IMS Unison University admission procedure, the application forms are available on the official website. Moreover, admissions seats at the University will be filled on merit-basis which includes academic performance of the student in previous examinations, written test, and Personal Interview (PI) round. Furthermore, the criteria may differ for few courses, depending on their requirements.

*Admissions are open for International students as well under all the courses. Additionally, they can check their respective eligibility criteria and fees as it differs as compared to the Indian students.

Note: IUU Dehradun has allotted 75% of the seats in the courses under All India category and remaining (25%) for Uttarakhand State students.

Merit Scholarships are provided by the University to the students enrolled in the UG, PG, and other courses (except Ph.D). Only limited IMS Unison University scholarships are available so they are provided on ‘first come, first serve’ basis. Therefore, to avail the same, students need to fulfill various eligibility criteria.

Students seeking admission in the Undergraduate programs can avail the scholarships and they are offered based on aggregate percentage obtained in Class 12^th. The below-stated table includes the information regarding the same:

Apart from this, students belonging to Uttarakhand, J&K, Leh Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, and Nagaland can avail 25% scholarships and they are applied on the entire duration of the course.

Additionally, 10% scholarship is available for female students, IUU alumni, and wards of Defence / CAPF Personnel (serving or retired).

Special Points to Consider

• Under the above-mentioned 10% scholarships, it will be applicable for the entire duration of the course for female students and defence personnel. On the other hand, for IUU alumni, it will be applicable for 1^st year of the course only.
• Students can avail only one scholarship at a time.
• Eligible students need to submit an application form at the Office of Registrar to avail the respective scholarship.
